8pm From Los Angeles! ARC LIBRE TRIO with Gustavo Aguilar – percussion; Robert Reigle- tenor saxophone; Phil Curtis- powerbook, guitar, ztar
From L.A., the ARC Libre Trio is a creative collective that has come
together to promote imporvisational music which has its deep roots in
free jazz, new music, pop, and traditional folkloric. By combining these
musics and using new technologies, the trio pays homage to the past
while forging new ground.

MULLER/SMITH DUO with Torsten Muller - bass (from Germany) and Damon Smith – bass
German/Canadian double bassist Torsten Müller is known for his work with
Gunter Christmann, with Ladonna Smith and Davey Williams' group trans
museq and his work in the King übü Orchestrü, was also in the Charles
Galye Trio, along with Sven åke Johanson for his first European tour. He
has recorded for FMP and Moers. He has recently worked with Ken
Vandermark, Michael Zerang and John Corbett. Tonight he plays with duo
with Oakland double bassist Damon Smith.
