Asian Art Museum Workshop for Mike Lin (Spaces Within)
Michael Lin utilizes traditional Taiwanese textile patterns to transform and destabilize architectural spaces. Blowing up floral motifs to grandiose proportions and inviting viewers to sit, sleep or walk upon the artwork, LinŐs paintings create a sub-environment that is part relaxation and part subversion.

Michael Lin will be working for three weeks on site at the 509 Cultural Center and in Cohen Alley to create work for his installation opening

GINA OSTERLOH
"ALL- CITY"
inspired by the will to shed anxieties, especially the low level of paranoia operating in the urban environment. Osterloh uses the offensive "volley", a shotused in tennis when a player is in control -- the shot of attack. Humor and sharp grunts disarm the innocent passerby. Navigating through the City in all white tennis attire, Osterlo transfer privelege to various corners of the city. The title, a term used in graf when getting up "All City" offers the juxtaposition of a clandestine action fueled by an all american work ethic and status. (VIDEO)
